RBI Keeps Repo Rate Unchanged at 5.25%

Short Description : The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) unanimously decided to maintain the policy repo rate at 5.25% for the second consecutive meeting, citing a resilient economy and a neutral stance.

Long Description : RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced the decision following the final bi-monthly meeting of the 2025–26 fiscal year. The MPC maintained a neutral stance to balance inflation control with economic growth. The Governor noted that while external headwinds have intensified, domestic growth remain strong, with GDP projections for the first two quarters of FY27 being revised upward. CPI inflation for 2025–26 is projected at 2.1%. This "pause" aims to ensure that the previous 25 bps rate cut in December 2025 continues to filter through the economy while keeping headline inflation within the target range.

New RBI Framework for Digital Fraud Compensation

Historic Agreement for "Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority" (FNTA)
