The India Meteorological Department has issued red alerts for several districts, including Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and Mayiladuthurai in Tamil Nadu. Extremely heavy rainfall exceeding 20 cm is expected in isolated areas. Gale-force winds of 70-80 kmph gusting up to 90 kmph are anticipated. Sri Lanka experienced 80 deaths and 34 missing as the system moved through. Fishermen have been advised to return to shore immediately, and the cyclone poses significant risks to power and communication infrastructure along affected coasts.​

Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Manufacturing Scheme Approved
