Long Description : Ahmedabad will host the 11th Asian Aquatics Championship from 28 September to 10 October 2025, the first time India is staging the event. Competitions in swimming, diving, artistic swimming, and water polo will take place at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, equipped with world-class aquatic facilities. Over 1,000 athletes from 30+ Asian countries are expected to participate, with the event also serving as a qualifier for the 2026 Asian Games. The championship is seen as a major boost for India’s sports infrastructure and global sporting profile.

Long Description : The Union Cabinet has cleared the Capacity Building and Human Resource Development (CBHRD) scheme of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) with an outlay of Rs 2,277 crore for 2021–26. The scheme will support fellowships, extramural research grants, awards, and training to build a strong R&D workforce in India. Covering universities, national labs, and institutes of excellence, it aims to make research careers more attractive, strengthen innovation, and boost India’s position in global science and technology.

Long Description : Union Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the first APEDA regional office in Patna, aimed at boosting agri-exports from Bihar and eastern India. The office will help farmers and exporters with registration, certification, packaging, and market linkages, especially for GI-tagged products like Shahi Litchi, Jardalu Mango, and Mithila Makhana. During the launch, a consignment of Mithila Makhana was flagged off for export to the US, Canada, and New Zealand. The new office is expected to improve farmer incomes and strengthen Bihar’s agri-export potential.
