MoRD Signs MoUs with NIRD&PR and 4 SRLMs to Strengthen DAY-NRLM
Short Description : The Ministry of Rural Development signed MoUs with NIRD&PR and four State Rural Livelihood Missions to enhance capacity building and program implementation under DAY-NRLM.
Long Description : On September 23, 2025, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR) and four State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs) to strengthen the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). The agreements focus on enhancing the capacity of community institutions, improving financial literacy, and promoting sustainable livelihoods through skill development and market linkages. The collaboration aims to empower rural women, reduce poverty, and ensure inclusive growth by leveraging NIRD&PR’s expertise in training and research, thereby improving the effectiveness and scalability of rural development programs.
