SSC CGL – Combined Graduate Level Examination

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C posts in ministries, departments, and organizations of the Government of India. It is one of the most popular exams for graduates aspiring for a stable and respected government job.

 


 

Application Fee

  • General / OBC (Male): ₹100/-
  • Female / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted (No fee)
  • Mode of Payment: Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking/UPI) or SBI Challan.

 


 

Age Limit (Post-wise)

  • General Range: 18 to 32 years (varies by post).
  • Common Posts Age Criteria:
    • Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: Up to 30 years
    • Inspector of Income Tax, Central Excise Inspector, Sub-Inspector (CBI): Up to 30 years
    • Junior Statistical Officer: Up to 32 years
    • Clerk/Assistant roles: 18–27 years

Age Relaxation:

  • OBC: +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • PwBD: +10 years (further relaxation for OBC/SC/ST)

 


 

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
    • Additional requirement for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Graduation with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th level OR Statistics as a subject in graduation.
    • For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: Desirable qualifications include CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant, though not mandatory.

  2. Go to the Results → CGL section.
  3. Select the exam year and result stage (Tier-I, Tier-II, etc.).
  4. Download the PDF containing roll numbers/names of shortlisted candidates.
