SSC CHSL – Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination to recruit candidates for clerical and data-entry posts in various ministries, departments, and organizations of the Government of India. It is one of the most popular exams for candidates who have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary).


 

Application Fee

  • General / OBC (Male): ₹100/-
  • Female / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted (No fee)
  • Mode of Payment: Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking/UPI) or SBI Challan.

 


 

Age Limit

  • General: 18 to 27 years
  • OBC: 18 to 30 years (+3 years relaxation)
  • SC/ST: 18 to 32 years (+5 years relaxation)
  • PwBD: +10 years (additional relaxation for OBC/SC/ST)

 


 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Specific Requirement: For the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) in C&AG, candidates must have studied Science stream with Mathematics as a subject in 12th standard.

  1. Visit the official SSC website: https://ssc.nic.in
  2. Go to the Results → CHSL section.
  3. Select the result link for the relevant Tier (Tier-I, Tier-II, etc.).
  4. Download the PDF containing roll numbers/names of qualified candidates.
