UPSC CSE – Civil Services Examination

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE) annually to recruit candidates for prestigious services like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A & B posts. It is one of the toughest and most competitive exams in India, attracting lakhs of aspirants each year.


Application Fee

  • General / OBC (Male): ₹100/-
  • Female / SC / ST / PwBD: Exempted (No fee)
  • Mode of Payment: Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking/UPI) or SBI Challan.

 

Age Limit (as per latest UPSC norms)

  • General: 21 to 32 years
  • OBC: 21 to 35 years (+3 years relaxation)
  • SC/ST: 21 to 37 years (+5 years relaxation)
  • PwBD: Up to 42 years (depending on category)

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen (for IAS & IPS).
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Number of Attempts:
    • General: 6
    • OBC: 9
    • SC/ST: Unlimited (till age limit)
    • PwBD: 9 (General/OBC), Unlimited (SC/ST)

  1. Visit the official UPSC website: https://www.upsc.gov.in
  2. Go to the Examination → Active Examinations section.
  3. Click on Civil Services Examination result link.
  4. Download the PDF containing roll numbers/names of qualified candidates.
  5. Use Ctrl+F to search your roll number/name in the list.
